Deacon and Deaconess Ministries
The GKD Deacons and Deaconesses are two
groups of men and women who have been selected to assist the Pastor in feeding
the flock. Their combined mission is to reach the world through the word and
work of Christ endeavoring to walk as described in Ephesians 5:15-16, circumspectly,
not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Health Care Ministry
|

This ministry assists the church and others with caring for our
physical bodies. The ministry promotes good physical health by
providing health fairs, literature, and coordinating various health
related programs.

Music Ministry
|
|
As Psalm 150 commands, the GKD Music Ministry praises God in His
sanctuary. The Music Ministry creates an atmosphere of praise and
worship to invite the presence of God into each worship service.
This ministry has many different facets:

Male Chorus - an all-male choir that is known throughout
Louisiana and Mississippi

Singles Ministry

Single members (never married or divorced) meeting monthly for
fellowship and fun along with bible-based teaching on living the
single life.

Three-Fold Cords Christian Couples Ministry
|
|
The purpose of the ministry is Three-Fold. It is designed to:
1) create an environment in which married couples come together on a
monthly basis to be educated in the principles of marriage and
family as established in the word of God;
2) organize a network of Christian married couples who edify each
other by serving as support and strength for one another in both
for better and for worse times; and
3) provide a band of believers who can enjoy the fellowship of other
married couples. The couples ministry adopted the name Three-Fold
Cords, and the accompanying scripture Ecclesiastes 4:12: And if
one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a Three-Fold
Cord is not quickly broken.
